RACKREEL · INTERCONNECTED PTY LTD
Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-16
Your videos are processed on your computer. Account, billing and support information is handled separately to provide RackReel and its subscriptions.
Who we are
RackReel is provided by Interconnected Pty Ltd, Australia. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email support@interconnected.au and identify your request as a RackReel privacy matter.
Videos and projects
Importing, detecting shots, editing and exporting happen locally in the desktop app. We do not automatically upload your source videos or project files. You choose where to save them; any cloud-sync service you use for that folder has its own privacy practices. You can use the free editing and export features without a paid account.
Information used for accounts and licences
- Your email address and account identifier, sign-in verification records and session information. If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your verified email and Google account identifier. This does not give RackReel access to your Google Drive or videos.
- Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, invoice information and paid-access dates. Stripe processes payment details; RackReel does not store full card numbers or card security codes.
- Licence-key verification records, activated-device identifiers and names, activation and contact times, and signed offline-access records. These let us apply the device limit and restore paid access. Sign-in credentials are stored on your device using the app's credential storage.
- Technical request and security information, such as IP address, request time and errors, processed by our hosting and security providers to operate and protect the service.
We use this information to authenticate you, process subscriptions, prevent misuse, provide support and meet accounting and legal obligations. Without the necessary account and billing information, we cannot provide a paid subscription.
Feedback and optional training reviews
When you send feedback, we receive the message, contact details you provide, diagnostic information included in the submission, and any video link you choose to share. A link can give our support team access to that video: share only material you have permission to share, and do not include passwords or licence keys.
The private trainer is not part of the ordinary customer app. If you explicitly submit a training review, it includes review annotations, shot timings and video-identifying metadata such as the filename. Source video is not attached automatically. We use submitted reviews and footage you separately make available for the agreed detection testing and improvement. Routine local editing does not submit training data.
Service providers and overseas processing
We use Railway for hosting and the account database, Stripe for payments and subscription management, Resend for sign-in and support email delivery, and Google when you choose its sign-in service. Our domain and network services also process connection information. These providers receive information needed for their functions and may also process information for their own security and legal responsibilities.
Information may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States and European hosting regions. Provider infrastructure and subprocessors can involve other countries. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your request. Their privacy notices describe their own handling of information: Railway, Stripe, Resend and Google.
Cookies and security
The account website uses cookies for sign-in, Google authentication, request protection and connecting the desktop app. It does not currently include advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Payment and identity-provider pages have their own cookies. We use encrypted connections and restrict access to account systems. No service can guarantee that information will never be lost or accessed without permission.
Retention, access and deletion
We retain account and licence records while needed to operate your account, and retain support, security and billing records for their operational purpose and applicable legal obligations. Expiry of a sign-in code or session does not mean every related record or backup is immediately erased. Local videos and projects remain under your control.
Email support to request access, correction, account deletion or information about retention. We may need to verify your identity. We will explain any information we need to retain, for example for tax records or an unresolved dispute. Deleting an account does not delete your local files. Cancel a paid subscription through billing management or ask support to assist before closing the account.
Complaints and changes
If you have a privacy concern, contact us with enough detail to investigate. We will acknowledge it, investigate and respond, and let you know if more information or time is needed. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or another relevant regulator.
We will update this page when our practices change and notify account holders of material changes where appropriate. The version above identifies this policy.
